We are able to see tendai as an influence on the system of Reiki, or, if you like, we are able to see where components of the system have originated from. Do not be confused, this isn't to claim that we practice buddhism as Reiki practitioners, it helps us to know where the teachings originated from out of the Japanese culture and philosophy.
